Clouds Lent Out Use Discipline (CLOUD) is a collaborative project initiated by Catty Dan Zhang and Carl Lostritto at the beginning of 2024, conducted through divergent computational processes that explore clouds as objects, elements, architectures, spaces, systems, or constructs. In the Sky features 40 digital clouds made by 31 individual/collective participants of this project in 6 low-res cluster blue tarp clouds in an imaginary sky, a collection of elements that respond to each other having been formed collaboratively and ritualistically.
